Dom Andreacchio
President
When it comes to Human Relations and Hot Dogs, Dom is our committee specialist but now he has been upgraded to a “Beef Burger with the Lot” i.e. Mr President. Dom has been on the committee for six years and is an enthusiastic supporter of the club. He and his wife, Shirley, are regular attendees at the Coterie functions. Dom spent many years as a General Manager of Human Resources for Australian Air Express and related companies. Dom is a very experienced and considered person and it is these attributes that resulted in his being appointed as the Cat’s first welfare manager. After Terry Kernan’s enormous stint at the Club, Dom put his hand up to be President and his efforts have been tireless – thank you Dom.

Robert Hyland
Vice President
Robert is an extremely accomplished and respected member of the Macedon Cats committee and community as a whole. Rob is a retired teacher/principal as well as senior Commonwealth officer living in Indigenous community ensuring that law and order &health and education services were provided; He also assisted community leaders identify their community’s aspirations. Robert supports the Cats because the club acts as a Community focal point to meet and socialise with friends. As part of the reformation of Macedon Cats, Rob chaired a working party/ committee comprising Gregg Kennedy, Faye Dettman and Brian Collins. The rest is history – with a lot of support from people thereafter we owe Rob and some dedicated people a huge debt of gratitude. Rob is Vice President and also Treasurer. He can also be seen prowling around the netball courts on a Saturday yet again fulfilling his supporting duties.

Sarah Readman
Secretary
Sarah is the Club Secretary and is extremely efficient. On top of being Secretary responsible for meeting agendas and minutes, Sarah also manages the memberships, plays Netball and is a year 11 coordinator at a Secondary School. She is a very busy person who never sees anything as a problem.

Jo Gooch
Netball Operations Manager
Jo continues in her role of Netball Operations Manager this season, helping support the girls on and off the court. One of those girls is Jo’s daughter Amy, herself a promising player coming through the ranks of the club’s successful netball program. Jo is a perfect fit for the role, with her approachable nature and passion for integrating the netballers into the club, traits which are respected by all involved at the club. Jo lives and works locally and is driven by the community involvement that the club is developing. She has a history of helping clubs.

Dom Andreacchio
Player Welfare Manager
When it comes to Human Relations and Hot Dogs, Dom is our committee specialist. Every home game Dom provides hours of assistance to Dee in the canteen. Dom has been on the committee for three years and is an enthusiastic supporter of the club. He and his wife, Shirley, are regular attendees at the Coterie functions. Dom spent many years as a General Manager of Human Resources for Australian Air Express and related companies. Dom is a very experienced and considered person and it is these attributes that have resulted in his being appointed as the Cat’s first welfare manager. Macedon Cats players now have a dedicated resource with whom they can connect on their welfare off the field; how lucky the club and players are to have Dom.

Andrew Hall
General Committee
Andrew is continuing on the committee for the 3rd year and this season he has the Football Operations portfolio on the committee. He is exceptionally efficient as well as being well organised. Away from the club, Andrew is a well-respected Teacher and has his hands well and truly full with two of his own children at home. As a football player with Macedon for a number of years, Andrew’s career with Macedon peaked with 15 games for the Reserves in 2015 for a handsome return of 25 goals.

Andrew Dick

Andrew has had 2 stints on the Cats Committee – firstly for 3 years under Brian Collins as Chair and now under Dom. Andrew has two sons who play football and you would think after 22 years in Australia that he understood the rules! Andrew is passionate about the local community and the importance that sporting clubs play in Macedon. He loves the tag line – “Our Town Our Club”. His role on the committee is communications.

Dr Simon Floreani
General Committee
Simon is one of the new recruits to the Cats committee – he is our “youth” policy. Great ideas and enthusiasm for club development. Simon is into Vitality – so much so that he is part of the Vitality Group of health professionals. As a Doctor of Chiropractic practice he has been known to spot the odd poor back hanging around the club. In the committee he reminds us of the importance of Board Governance and at the same time is an all round nice guy who is supportive of his kids on the football field. He is also responsible for player welfare taking over from Dom in this important role.

Craig Hilderbrand
General Committee
Craig has followed the Macedon Cats since his son Tom, started in Under 10’s in 2005. Craig sees it is a great club and is a really good environment for those who want to play football or netball, or help out. Over the years Craig has fulfilled many roles not least as team manager on many occasions in Junior Football. He is highly organised and efficient although he could be looking for more jobs as he has just retired. The Hilderbrand family are avid supporters and great documenters of matches with notes and videos taken as records of each match. Craig fulfils the role as Facilities Manager and efficiently gets on with any job that is thrown at him.

Jason Stewart
General Committee
Jason is the Events Manager and has put his hand up to assist with a big job. Reason being is that the Club organises a lot of events – Coterie Functions, Trivia Nights, Mid Season Balls etc. Jason is the right person for the job as he has a back ground in the entertainment industry…. as a manager (just for clarification!). He now owns a business Thousand Volts Electrical – so make sure that you respond when he gives you a prod for some assistance! Jason occasionally plays for the Reserves, looks after the kids and ensures that our Senior Coach and his wife, Ciara, is always fit to coach and play for the Cats Netball team.

James Wright
General Committee
Where do we start – James or “Nipper” is a legendary player of the Club. He is not only an outstanding player he is a supreme example of all that Macedon Cats value – Trains Hard, Plays Hard, Plays Fair. In addition to all those playing attributes he has been an excellent ambassador and representative of the Club. Nipper has represented the RDFL in the interleague and was also invited to train with Werribee for the VFL. His crowning achievement was captaining the winning Premiership team in 2017.
