Macedon FNC Cats prides itself on fielding strong netball sides and has experienced a high degree of success across all netball grades since the commencement of netball within the competition.

We have four representative sides- A grade, B grade, C grade and our under 19’s. Our teams train once a week on a Wednesday night and play on Saturdays between April and September. All of our players are coached by a highly experienced coaching panel and are encouraged to get the best out of themselves both on and off the court.

Our 19’s, B and A grade teams all finished the home and away season 2nd on the ladder while our C grade finished 3rd. Our most successful teams were our under 19’s and A grade who both played off in the grand final but unfortunately did not get over the line with the under 19’s losing by just 5 goals and our A grade going down by just 3 goals. B grade bowed out in the Preliminary finals and our C grade team lost by 1 goal in the 2nd Semifinals. A fantastic season by all grades.

Further success to our netball club in 2016 came from two of our A grade players, Chloe Wilson and Ciara Stewart who were both named in the team of the year. Our coach Ciara Stewart was also named the RDFNL Coach of the year as well as winning the RDFNL Ryan Medalist for best player in the league.
