Macedon 32 Won 21 Riddells Creek
We had a good start to the game scoring the first 3 goals. We let Riddell back into the contest as we tried to get the hang of a different attacking line up.
We defensively had a strong quarter and limited turnovers. We capitalised on Riddell’s errors and found good space in the goal circle. We were able to get a 5 goal lead into the third quarter.
In the third quarter we made some changes to our mid-court and defence due to an injury. We were able to keep our margin despite our turnovers increasing and lack of flow in our attack end.
We stumbled in the last quarter despite reverting to our second quarter line up. We had bad passes and errors which lead to the game being tied up for most of the quarter. Two critics intercepts and a well timed siren meant we were able to come away with a one goal win.
We have two byes coming up and need to make sure we have a strong last game to secure third position.
